Love the mask but not the fit at the bridge of the nose
After a long wait I was excited to finally receive this mask. The company was nice enough to send me the original Gill Mask + the conversion kit since they were out of stock on the Gill Mask Pro which I ordered. So now I have the option to use either the original design or that of the Pro model.
However, due to the fit of the silicone around the bridge of my nose allowing leaks, I will not be able to use the mask at all until I can hopefully find a solution. I did order the correct size based on the sizing instructions but in my case the top portion of the silicone simply doesn't hug the bridge of my nose tight enough to create the needed seal. I've tried various levels of tightness by adjusting the neck & head straps to no avail.
If I sightly press on both sides of the silicone around the bridge of my nose then I can force a perfect seal. I'm still experimenting with different things to achieve the same effect as my pressing on the sides around the bridge of my nose so I can achieve a seal, which is costing more money.

Gill mask large
Excellent mask, comfortable. Seals very well on face. The frame for the filter, and cover fly apart if you drop the mask. Despite that I purchased 2 more masks.
Great for reusable filters
As the title says, with the caveat that breathing needs a little more effort than pro
Fits my needs, but there are improvement opportunities
I got my Gill Mask a couple weeks ago. I did my research and was looking for a respirator that might offer all day comfort while not costing a ton in consumables. I carefully chose the surgical masks that I would use as filters for ones that offered a combination of performance and breathability. So far so good. The Gill Mask itself is fairly comfortable and, once adjusted, fits snuggly to give a good seal. I feel confident when wearing it that I and the people around me are protected.
There are a couple things that I am continuing to tweak however. While I got a regular, the mask is a little big for me. I wear glasses, and the nosepiece of the mask comes up a bit high on my nose. I have tried putting on the mask first and then the glasses. This results in the glasses sitting a little further from my face and not working quite right. I have positioned the mask lower on my face so the glasses sit right. Now the lower end is below my chin. It seals fine, but the bone of my chin touches the plastic structure of the mask and may not be comfortable in the long run. If a slightly smaller version were available, these problems might be solved.
Second, the straps must be adjusted fairly tight to hold the seal, Not a big deal, but the strap material is fairly stretchy and I have to pull on it quite a bit. I may replace them with something else to make the adjustment quicker and easier.
So, overall I am happy, but buyers should expect to do some tweaking to make it work for their face and head.
*Finally received my mask.
*it doesn't seal on the face as it should
*It presses against the bridge of my nose and I don't have a big nose
*I would've liked a sturdier head strap, not that it matters, because the mask doesn't seal
*It's too expensive to not have it work, just buy some quality fabric masks
*It is the hardest mask I have ever tried to breathe through
*The quality is there but if it doesn't perform as it should then there is no point in buying
